Precognition: Does Every Person Have A Sixth Sense?

Precognition aka ESP or foresight has been a common question and a popular topic in literature, movies and pop culture. But is there a science behind precognition and does every person possess some degree of precognition?

I have to say there have been times when I’ve had a dream about something that seemed silly at the time and then months later, I’ll recognize a situation and realize I had dreamt about it before. For example, I had a dream that I was on the phone with some guy and I had asked him a question. Months later, I was on the phone with a guy who I met on a dating website actually and I asked him a question and seconds later, I realized it was the same scenario from my dream.  I was in the exact position, having a conversation with a guy I hadn’t known when I had the dream and we had been having the same conversation and I recognized the question that I had asked from my dream only after I said it. Now, I don’t believe in psychics because it conflicts with my religious beliefs…but, I definitely remember saying the very same sentence in my dream in the exact same scenario. I brushed it off, but it’s not the first time that it’s happened. I’m sure we’ve all had moments like that.

Now it’s very possible that maybe I just projected my dream into the conversation subconsciously or something, but it’s a curious topic.

There are animals who have a sense of precognition, like the dogs and other animals who can sense earthquakes and natural disasters before they happen and flee from the area where it’s going to occur. There are also so-called “psychics,” who detectives sometimes use in murder cases to find bodies and such.

Like I said, I do not believe in psychics , I will never see one because it conflicts with my religious beliefs, but there have been moments where things that cannot be explained have happened.

Is it possible that all people posses some level of precognition and is it innate in people. There was an article in Time Magazine that talked about the science of precognition.

Now, from a religious standpoint, I don’t believe in psychics, but then again the Bible has incidents of prophetic dreams etc and many of them did come true. But God gifted those people with the ability to realize their prophetic abilities. From a Biblical standpoint, I think God doesn’t want people to rely on psychics above him and who knows whether you’re getting misleading or the wrong information, so it’s to your benefit not to depend on psychics. I know not everyone is religious, but these are just MY BELIEFS. But this doesn’t mean that just because you shouldn’t idolize psychics or turn to them before God in a religious sense, that they may not exist.

But, if there is some level of precognition that is natural to most people, it makes you wonder doesn’t it, why  would only some people be able to realize this level of precognition, while most others can’t?

Then again, it could all just be nonsense…What do you think?

I am very sensitive, so for me I do not question the existence of a sixth sense. I have had many out of this world experiences, if I was to begin naming them ppl would think I was making things up, or plain ole crazy, so I simply keep them to myself. The Bible says: “Call unto me and I will answer thee, and show you great and mighty things which you know not of.” (Jer 33:3)

Have had exact recordings in my sleep ever since i was a kid. They are not dreams, they are pre- memories. I have even woke up on them & laughed, only to see the surreal event unfold 5 days later. I will KNOW of precognition before i will ever BELIEVE a God. The simple FACT that these anomolies in clairvoyance, clairaudience, precognition are very much true, but no demons, devils, gods have anything to do with it at all. It is more likely an ancient survival gene that lays dormant in a domesticated society. I also suspect it is outlined &/or amplified for those with Cromagnun traits & a savant/synesthesete duel hemisphere encephelon. Not all are created equal. Not all have ESP, just as not all are athletic or artistic. Some are just better than others. ‘Psi’ is what we are called, not to be confused with the scam artists that use the title Psychic.

    1. I am starting to think most humans have the ability to have precognition, but its more pronounced in some and i think it’s a trait that can die or with generations that don’t use it. for me, it strengthens my faith, as a believer in God, it makes it seem more powerful that precognition and dreams that lead to the future are all throughout the Bible. i think it can be used as a gift from God or i also think it can be used for evil just like any other thing and I think dreams and stuff can be misinterpreted and used for the wrong reasons. i still wouldn’t see a psychic but not because i dont’ think some people might have foresight, it’s just i don’t believe it’s right to put all your faith in someone when as a believer in God/Christian, I believe your faith should be in God ultimately and if God wants to reveal something to you in your dreams he will. But that’s just what I believe.
